וּבְעָרֵ֨י מְנַשֶּׁ֧ה וְאֶפְרַ֛יִם וְשִׁמְע֖וֹן וְעַד־ נַפְתָּלִ֑י בהר בתיהם בְּחַרְבֹתֵיהֶ֖ם סָבִֽיב׃
אֵ֤לֶּה עָשִׂ֨יתָ ׀ וְֽהֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי דִּמִּ֗יתָ הֱֽיוֹת־ אֶֽהְיֶ֥ה כָמ֑וֹךָ אוֹכִיחֲךָ֖ וְאֶֽעֶרְכָ֣ה לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃
וְהָאֲנָשִׁים֙ רֹ֣עֵי צֹ֔אן כִּֽי־ אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִקְנֶ֖ה הָי֑וּ וְצֹאנָ֧ם וּבְקָרָ֛ם וְכָל־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר לָהֶ֖ם הֵבִֽיאוּ׃
פָּ֤קֽ͏ַדְתָּ הָאָ֨רֶץ ׀ וַתְּשֹׁ֪קְקֶ֡הָ רַבַּ֬ת תַּעְשְׁרֶ֗נָּה פֶּ֣לֶג אֱ֭לֹהִים מָ֣לֵא מָ֑יִם תָּכִ֥ין דְּ֝גָנָ֗ם כִּי־ כֵ֥ן תְּכִינֶֽהָ׃
וָאֶשְׁלַ֤ח מַלְאָכִים֙ מִמִּדְבַּ֣ר קְדֵמ֔וֹת אֶל־ סִיח֖וֹן מֶ֣לֶךְ חֶשְׁבּ֑וֹן דִּבְרֵ֥י שָׁל֖וֹם לֵאמֹֽר׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִד֙ חַי־ יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י אִם־ יְהוָ֖ה יִגָּפֶ֑נּוּ אֽוֹ־ יוֹמ֤וֹ יָבוֹא֙ וָמֵ֔ת א֧וֹ בַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה יֵרֵ֖ד וְנִסְפָּֽה׃
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר דָּוִ֖יד לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה בנו בְּנִ֕י אֲנִי֙ הָיָ֣ה עִם־ לְבָבִ֔י לִבְנ֣וֹת בַּ֔יִת לְשֵׁ֖ם יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃
And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
