אֶת־ צֹאנָ֥ם וְאֶת־ בְּקָרָ֖ם וְאֶת־ חֲמֹרֵיהֶ֑ם וְאֵ֧ת אֲשֶׁר־ בָּעִ֛יר וְאֶת־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה לָקָֽחוּ׃
מַה־ יָּפ֥וּ דֹדַ֖יִךְ אֲחֹתִ֣י כַלָּ֑ה מַה־ טֹּ֤בוּ דֹדַ֙יִךְ֙ מִיַּ֔יִן וְרֵ֥יחַ שְׁמָנַ֖יִךְ מִכָּל־ בְּשָׂמִֽים׃
עַמּוּדָיו֙ עָ֣שָׂה כֶ֔סֶף רְפִידָת֣וֹ זָהָ֔ב מֶרְכָּב֖וֹ אַרְגָּמָ֑ן תּוֹכוֹ֙ רָצ֣וּף אַהֲבָ֔ה מִבְּנ֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
כִּֽי־ הַגּ֧וֹי וְהַמַּמְלָכָ֛ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־ יַעַבְד֖וּךְ יֹאבֵ֑דוּ וְהַגּוֹיִ֖ם חָרֹ֥ב יֶחֱרָֽבוּ׃
וַתָּבוֹא֙ אֶל־ חֲמוֹתָ֔הּ וַתֹּ֖אמֶר מִי־ אַ֣תְּ בִּתִּ֑י וַתַּ֨גֶּד־ לָ֔הּ אֵ֛ת כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָֽשָׂה־ לָ֖הּ הָאִֽישׁ׃
Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.
I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity.
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

pra -praanye yanti pary anya aasate yeSaaM sakhye asi shritaH
param mRtyo anu parehi panthaaM yas te sva itaro devayaanaat

لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِنْ لَدُنَّا إِنْ كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ
قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُونَ
