וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יָרָבְעָ֜ם לְאִשְׁתּ֗וֹ ק֤וּמִי נָא֙ וְהִשְׁתַּנִּ֔ית וְלֹ֣א יֵֽדְע֔וּ כִּי־ אתי אַ֖תְּ אֵ֣שֶׁת יָרָבְעָ֑ם וְהָלַ֣כְתְּ שִׁלֹ֗ה הִנֵּה־ שָׁם֙ אֲחִיָּ֣ה הַנָּבִ֔יא הֽוּא־ דִבֶּ֥ר עָלַ֛י לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל־ הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּֽה׃
עַל־ כֵּ֨ן עַל־ בַּחוּרָ֜יו לֹֽא־ יִשְׂמַ֣ח ׀ אֲדֹנָ֗י וְאֶת־ יְתֹמָ֤יו וְאֶת־ אַלְמְנֹתָיו֙ לֹ֣א יְרַחֵ֔ם כִּ֤י כֻלּוֹ֙ חָנֵ֣ף וּמֵרַ֔ע וְכָל־ פֶּ֖ה דֹּבֵ֣ר נְבָלָ֑ה בְּכָל־ זֹאת֙ לֹא־ שָׁ֣ב אַפּ֔וֹ וְע֖וֹד יָד֥וֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃
וַיְצַו֩ דָּוִ֨ד אֶת־ הַנְּעָרִ֜ים וַיַּהַרְג֗וּם וַֽיְקַצְּצ֤וּ אֶת־ יְדֵיהֶם֙ וְאֶת־ רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם וַיִּתְל֥וּ עַל־ הַבְּרֵכָ֖ה בְּחֶבְר֑וֹן וְאֵ֨ת רֹ֤אשׁ אִֽישׁ־ בֹּ֙שֶׁת֙ לָקָ֔חוּ וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ בְקֶֽבֶר־ אַבְנֵ֖ר בְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃
וּבְנֵיהֶ֞ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־ יָדְע֗וּ יִשְׁמְעוּ֙ וְלָ֣מְד֔וּ לְיִרְאָ֖ה אֶת־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם כָּל־ הַיָּמִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתֶּ֤ם חַיִּים֙ עַל־ הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתֶּ֜ם עֹבְרִ֧ים אֶת־ הַיַּרְדֵּ֛ן שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃
וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י עָלָ֧יו וְעַל־ זַרְע֛וֹ וְעַל־ עֲבָדָ֖יו אֶת־ עֲוֺנָ֑ם וְהֵבֵאתִ֣י עֲ֠לֵיהֶם וְעַל־ יֹשְׁבֵ֨י יְרוּשָׁלִַ֜ם וְאֶל־ אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֗ה אֵ֧ת כָּל־ הָרָעָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃
The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.

وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
