וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־ אָבִ֔יהָ יֵעָ֥שֶׂה לִּ֖י הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה הַרְפֵּ֨ה מִמֶּ֜נִּי שְׁנַ֣יִם חֳדָשִׁ֗ים וְאֵֽלְכָה֙ וְיָרַדְתִּ֣י עַל־ הֶֽהָרִ֔ים וְאֶבְכֶּה֙ עַל־ בְּתוּלַ֔י אָנֹכִ֖י ורעיתי וְרֵעוֹתָֽי׃
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר שִׁמְשׁ֜וֹן אֶל־ הַנַּ֨עַר הַמַּחֲזִ֣יק בְּיָדוֹ֮ הַנִּ֣יחָה אוֹתִי֒ והימשני וַהֲמִשֵׁ֙נִי֙ אֶת־ הָֽעַמֻּדִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הַבַּ֖יִת נָכ֣וֹן עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְאֶשָּׁעֵ֖ן עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
וְלֹֽא־ מָצְאָה֩ הַיּוֹנָ֨ה מָנ֜וֹחַ לְכַף־ רַגְלָ֗הּ וַתָּ֤שָׁב אֵלָיו֙ אֶל־ הַתֵּבָ֔ה כִּי־ מַ֖יִם עַל־ פְּנֵ֣י כָל־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח יָדוֹ֙ וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ וַיָּבֵ֥א אֹתָ֛הּ אֵלָ֖יו אֶל־ הַתֵּבָֽה׃
וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֗ם אֶת־ הֲדֹרָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־ הַמַּ֔ס וַיִּרְגְּמוּ־ ב֧וֹ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל אֶ֖בֶן וַיָּמֹ֑ת וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֗ם הִתְאַמֵּץ֙ לַֽעֲל֣וֹת בַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֔ה לָנ֖וּס יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
וְהִתְנַבִּ֞י חַגַּ֣י נביאה נְבִיָּ֗א וּזְכַרְיָ֤ה בַר־ עִדּוֹא֙ נביאיא נְבִיַּיָּ֔א עַל־ יְה֣וּדָיֵ֔א דִּ֥י בִיה֖וּד וּבִירוּשְׁלֶ֑ם בְּשֻׁ֛ם אֱלָ֥הּ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עֲלֵיהֽוֹן׃

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.

Μὴ θησαυρίζετε ὑμῖν θησαυροὺς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὅπου σὴς καὶ βρῶσις ἀφανίζει, καὶ ὅπου κλέπται διορύσσουσιν καὶ κλέπτουσιν·
