וּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הָתְפָּקְדוּ֙ וְכָלְכְּל֔וּ וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ לִקְרָאתָ֑ם וַיַּחֲנ֨וּ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל נֶגְדָּ֗ם כִּשְׁנֵי֙ חֲשִׂפֵ֣י עִזִּ֔ים וַאֲרָ֖ם מִלְא֥וּ אֶת־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃
וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֶת־ נִקְמָתִ֜י בֶּאֱד֗וֹם בְּיַד֙ עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְעָשׂ֣וּ בֶאֱד֔וֹם כְּאַפִּ֖י וְכַחֲמָתִ֑י וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ אֶת־ נִקְמָתִ֔י נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃
וְדָוִ֣ד אָמַ֗ר אַךְ֩ לַשֶּׁ֨קֶר שָׁמַ֜רְתִּי אֶֽת־ כָּל־ אֲשֶׁ֤ר לָזֶה֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר וְלֹא־ נִפְקַ֥ד מִכָּל־ אֲשֶׁר־ ל֖וֹ מְא֑וּמָה וַיָּֽשֶׁב־ לִ֥י רָעָ֖ה תַּ֥חַת טוֹבָֽה׃
וְיֶ֨תֶר דִּבְרֵ֤י מְנַשֶּׁה֙ וְכָל־ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וְחַטָּאת֖וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטָ֑א הֲלֹא־ הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־ סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃
וְֽאִם־ יִנָּגֵ֞ף עַמְּךָ֧ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל לִפְנֵ֥י אוֹיֵ֖ב כִּ֣י יֶֽחֶטְאוּ־ לָ֑ךְ וְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ וְהוֹד֣וּ אֶת־ שְׁמֶ֔ךָ וְהִתְפַּֽלְל֧וּ וְהִֽתְחַנְּנ֛וּ לְפָנֶ֖יךָ בַּבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּֽה׃
וְאַֽל־ תִּדְרְשׁוּ֙ בֵּֽית־ אֵ֔ל וְהַגִּלְגָּל֙ לֹ֣א תָבֹ֔אוּ וּבְאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע לֹ֣א תַעֲבֹ֑רוּ כִּ֤י הַגִּלְגָּל֙ גָּלֹ֣ה יִגְלֶ֔ה וּבֵֽית־ אֵ֖ל יִהְיֶ֥ה לְאָֽוֶן׃
וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח רֹכֵ֣ב סוּס֮ שֵׁנִי֒ וַיָּבֹ֣א אֲלֵהֶ֔ם וַיֹּ֛אמֶר כֹּֽה־ אָמַ֥ר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ שָׁל֑וֹם וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יֵה֛וּא מַה־ לְּךָ֥ וּלְשָׁל֖וֹם סֹ֥ב אֶֽל־ אַחֲרָֽי׃
וַיְהִ֗י מִיּ֞וֹם שֶׁ֤בֶת הָֽאָרוֹן֙ בְּקִרְיַ֣ת יְעָרִ֔ים וַיִּרְבּוּ֙ הַיָּמִ֔ים וַיִּֽהְי֖וּ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיִּנָּה֛וּ כָּל־ בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אַחֲרֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
עִמּוֹ֙ זְר֣וֹע בָּשָׂ֔ר וְעִמָּ֜נוּ יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ לְעָזְרֵ֔נוּ וּלְהִלָּחֵ֖ם מִלְחֲמֹתֵ֑נוּ וַיִּסָּמְכ֣וּ הָעָ֔ם עַל־ דִּבְרֵ֖י יְחִזְקִיָּ֥הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־ יְהוּדָֽה׃
וַיָּ֣קָם ׀ בַּלַּ֣יְלָה ה֗וּא וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶת־ שְׁתֵּ֤י נָשָׁיו֙ וְאֶת־ שְׁתֵּ֣י שִׁפְחֹתָ֔יו וְאֶת־ אַחַ֥ד עָשָׂ֖ר יְלָדָ֑יו וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֔ר אֵ֖ת מַעֲבַ֥ר יַבֹּֽק׃
וְהָאוּלָ֡ם אֲשֶׁר֩ עַל־ פְּנֵ֨י הָאֹ֜רֶךְ עַל־ פְּנֵ֤י רֹֽחַב־ הַבַּ֙יִת֙ אַמּ֣וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֔ים וְהַגֹּ֖בַהּ מֵאָ֣ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֑ים וַיְצַפֵּ֥הוּ מִפְּנִ֖ימָה זָהָ֥ב טָהֽוֹר׃
וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ נָשִׁ֗יב וּמֵהֶם֙ לֹ֣א נְבַקֵּ֔שׁ כֵּ֣ן נַעֲשֶׂ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר אַתָּ֣ה אוֹמֵ֑ר וָאֶקְרָא֙ אֶת־ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים וָֽאַשְׁבִּיעֵ֔ם לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת כַּדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃
וּבַיּ֣וֹם הָרְבִעִ֗י נִקְהֲלוּ֙ לְעֵ֣מֶק בְּרָכָ֔ה כִּי־ שָׁ֖ם בֵּרֲכ֣וּ אֶת־ יְהוָ֑ה עַל־ כֵּ֡ן קָֽרְא֞וּ אֶת־ שֵׁ֨ם הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֛וּא עֵ֥מֶק בְּרָכָ֖ה עַד־ הַיּֽוֹם׃
And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.
And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,
I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.

And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.
Ἐποίησεν κράτος ἐν βραχίονι αὐτοῦ, διεσκόρπισεν ὑπερηφάνους διανοίᾳ καρδίας αὐτῶν·
ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν ἤγειρεν Ἰησοῦν, ὃν ὑμεῖς διεχειρίσασθε κρεμάσαντες ἐπὶ ξύλου·
ὑπερεπλεόνασεν δὲ ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μετὰ πίστεως καὶ ἀγάπης τῆς ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.
(καθὼς γέγραπται· Ἐσκόρπισεν, ἔδωκεν τοῖς πένησιν, ἡ δικαιοσύνη αὐτοῦ μένει εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα·
