וַֽיִּגְּשׁ֗וּ רָאשֵׁי֙ אֲב֣וֹת הַלְוִיִּ֔ם אֶל־ אֶלְעָזָר֙ הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְאֶל־ יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ בִּן־ נ֑וּן וְאֶל־ רָאשֵׁ֛י אֲב֥וֹת הַמַּטּ֖וֹת לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
הַרְעִ֤יפוּ שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ מִמַּ֔עַל וּשְׁחָקִ֖ים יִזְּלוּ־ צֶ֑דֶק תִּפְתַּח־ אֶ֣רֶץ וְיִפְרוּ־ יֶ֗שַׁע וּצְדָקָ֤ה תַצְמִ֙יחַ֙ יַ֔חַד אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה בְּרָאתִֽיו׃
וְנִתַּ֤ח אֹתוֹ֙ לִנְתָחָ֔יו וְאֶת־ רֹאשׁ֖וֹ וְאֶת־ פִּדְר֑וֹ וְעָרַ֤ךְ הַכֹּהֵן֙ אֹתָ֔ם עַל־ הָֽעֵצִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־ הָאֵ֔שׁ אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־ הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
וְחִבַּרְתָּ֞ אֶת־ חֲמֵ֤שׁ הַיְרִיעֹת֙ לְבָ֔ד וְאֶת־ שֵׁ֥שׁ הַיְרִיעֹ֖ת לְבָ֑ד וְכָפַלְתָּ֙ אֶת־ הַיְרִיעָ֣ה הַשִּׁשִּׁ֔ית אֶל־ מ֖וּל פְּנֵ֥י הָאֹֽהֶל׃
הָיָ֨ה אֲדֹנָ֤י ׀ כְּאוֹיֵב֙ בִּלַּ֣ע יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בִּלַּע֙ כָּל־ אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֔יהָ שִׁחֵ֖ת מִבְצָרָ֑יו וַיֶּ֙רֶב֙ בְּבַת־ יְהוּדָ֔ה תַּאֲנִיָּ֖ה וַאֲנִיָּֽה׃
וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֨ה וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֜ה וְאֶלְעָזָ֧ר וְעֻזִּ֛י וִֽיהוֹחָנָ֥ן וּמַלְכִּיָּ֖ה וְעֵילָ֣ם וָעָ֑זֶר וַיַּשְׁמִ֙יעוּ֙ הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים וְיִֽזְרַחְיָ֖ה הַפָּקִֽיד׃
וַיֹּאכְל֣וּ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הַשָּׁבִים֙ מֵֽהַגּוֹלָ֔ה וְכֹ֗ל הַנִּבְדָּ֛ל מִטֻּמְאַ֥ת גּוֹיֵֽ־ הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם לִדְרֹ֕שׁ לַֽיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
גַּ֣ם אַהֲבָתָ֧ם גַּם־ שִׂנְאָתָ֛ם גַּם־ קִנְאָתָ֖ם כְּבָ֣ר אָבָ֑דָה וְחֵ֨לֶק אֵין־ לָהֶ֥ם עוֹד֙ לְעוֹלָ֔ם בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶֽׁר־ נַעֲשָׂ֖ה תַּ֥חַת הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃
וְזֶ֣ה ׀ פַּרְשֶׁ֣גֶן הַֽנִּשְׁתְּוָ֗ן אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָתַן֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אַרְתַּחְשַׁ֔סְתְּא לְעֶזְרָ֥א הַכֹּהֵ֖ן הַסֹּפֵ֑ר סֹפֵ֞ר דִּבְרֵ֧י מִצְוֺת־ יְהוָ֛ה וְחֻקָּ֖יו עַל־ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
כִּ֣י אִם־ שָׁנִ֥ים הַרְבֵּ֛ה יִחְיֶ֥ה הָאָדָ֖ם בְּכֻלָּ֣ם יִשְׂמָ֑ח וְיִזְכֹּר֙ אֶת־ יְמֵ֣י הַחֹ֔שֶׁךְ כִּֽי־ הַרְבֵּ֥ה יִהְי֖וּ כָּל־ שֶׁבָּ֥א הָֽבֶל׃
וַיֵּשֶׁב֩ אֲר֨וֹן יְהוָ֜ה בֵּ֣ית עֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֛ם הַגִּתִּ֖י שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה חֳדָשִׁ֑ים וַיְבָ֧רֶךְ יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ עֹבֵ֥ד אֱדֹ֖ם וְאֶת־ כָּל־ בֵּיתֽוֹ׃
וַיַּ֛חַץ אֶת־ שְׁלֹשׁ־ מֵא֥וֹת הָאִ֖ישׁ שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה רָאשִׁ֑ים וַיִּתֵּ֨ן שׁוֹפָר֤וֹת בְּיַד־ כֻּלָּם֙ וְכַדִּ֣ים רֵקִ֔ים וְלַפִּדִ֖ים בְּת֥וֹךְ הַכַּדִּֽים׃
וַתִּפֹּ֣ל עָלַי֮ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָה֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י אֱמֹר֙ כֹּה־ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה כֵּ֥ן אֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמַעֲל֥וֹת רֽוּחֲכֶ֖ם אֲנִ֥י יְדַעְתִּֽיהָ׃
אחד על גבי שלש, ושלש על גבי שבעה, ושבעה על גבי שנים עשר, וכולן אדוקים זה בזה:
וְעַתָּה֙ לָ֣מָּה נָמ֔וּת כִּ֣י תֹֽאכְלֵ֔נוּ הָאֵ֥שׁ הַגְּדֹלָ֖ה הַזֹּ֑את אִם־ יֹסְפִ֣ים ׀ אֲנַ֗חְנוּ לִ֠שְׁמֹעַ אֶת־ ק֨וֹל יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵ֛ינוּ ע֖וֹד וָמָֽתְנוּ׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־ יְהוָ֔ה לֹא־ יוּכַ֣ל הָעָ֔ם לַעֲלֹ֖ת אֶל־ הַ֣ר סִינָ֑י כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֞ה הַעֵדֹ֤תָה בָּ֙נוּ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הַגְבֵּ֥ל אֶת־ הָהָ֖ר וְקִדַּשְׁתּֽוֹ׃
וְהָיָ֗ה כְּהַפְנֹת֤וֹ שִׁכְמוֹ֙ לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ מֵעִ֣ם שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל וַיַּהֲפָךְ־ ל֥וֹ אֱלֹהִ֖ים לֵ֣ב אַחֵ֑ר וַיָּבֹ֛אוּ כָּל־ הָאֹת֥וֹת הָאֵ֖לֶּה בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃
וַיֹּ֤אמְרוּ לוֹ֙ אֶחָ֔יו הֲמָלֹ֤ךְ תִּמְלֹךְ֙ עָלֵ֔ינוּ אִם־ מָשׁ֥וֹל תִּמְשֹׁ֖ל בָּ֑נוּ וַיּוֹסִ֤פוּ עוֹד֙ שְׂנֹ֣א אֹת֔וֹ עַל־ חֲלֹמֹתָ֖יו וְעַל־ דְּבָרָֽיו׃
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.
For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:
And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

bharaamedhmaM kRNavaamaa haviiMSi te citayantaH parvaNaa-parvaNaa vayam
vishvaani vishvavedaso varuuthyaaaa\ manaamahe .anehaso va uutayaH suuutayo va uutayaH
mahiiM cid dyaam aatanot suuryeNa caaskambha cit kambhanena skabhiiyaan
καὶ ἐνδυσάμενοι τὸν νέον τὸν ἀνακαινούμενον εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν κατʼ εἰκόνα τοῦ κτίσαντος αὐτόν,
ταῦτά ἐστιν τὰ κοινοῦντα τὸν ἄνθρωπον, τὸ δὲ ἀνίπτοις χερσὶν φαγεῖν οὐ κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον.
قَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَا الْعَزِيزُ إِنَّ لَهُ أَبًا شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا فَخُذْ أَحَدَنَا مَكَانَهُ إِنَّا نَرَاكَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
