וְלֹא־ תָח֥וֹס עֵינִ֖י וְלֹ֣א אֶחְמ֑וֹל כִּדְרָכַ֜יִךְ עָלַ֣יִךְ אֶתֵּ֗ן וְתוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְ תִּֽהְיֶ֔יןָ וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מַכֶּֽה׃
וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣מוּ בַבֹּ֔קֶר וַיַּֽעֲל֥וּ אֶל־ רֹאשׁ־ הָהָ֖ר לֵאמֹ֑ר הִנֶּ֗נּוּ וְעָלִ֛ינוּ אֶל־ הַמָּק֛וֹם אֲשֶׁר־ אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה כִּ֥י חָטָֽאנוּ׃
בַּת־ עַמִּ֤י חִגְרִי־ שָׂק֙ וְהִתְפַּלְּשִׁ֣י בָאֵ֔פֶר אֵ֤בֶל יָחִיד֙ עֲשִׂ֣י לָ֔ךְ מִסְפַּ֖ד תַּמְרוּרִ֑ים כִּ֣י פִתְאֹ֔ם יָבֹ֥א הַשֹּׁדֵ֖ד עָלֵֽינוּ׃
כִּי־ מִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יבחר יְחֻבַּ֔ר אֶ֥ל כָּל־ הַחַיִּ֖ים יֵ֣שׁ בִּטָּח֑וֹן כִּֽי־ לְכֶ֤לֶב חַי֙ ה֣וּא ט֔וֹב מִן־ הָאַרְיֵ֖ה הַמֵּֽת׃
וּכְשָׁמְעִי֙ אֶת־ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה קָרַ֥עְתִּי אֶת־ בִּגְדִ֖י וּמְעִילִ֑י וָאֶמְרְטָ֞ה מִשְּׂעַ֤ר רֹאשִׁי֙ וּזְקָנִ֔י וָאֵשְׁבָ֖ה מְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃
וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה גָד֗וֹל לְכָל־ שָׂרָיו֙ וַעֲבָדָ֔יו אֵ֖ת מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה אֶסְתֵּ֑ר וַהֲנָחָ֤ה לַמְּדִינוֹת֙ עָשָׂ֔ה וַיִּתֵּ֥ן מַשְׂאֵ֖ת כְּיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
וַיֹּ֣אמֶּר אַבְרָ֗ם אֲדֹנָ֤י יֱהוִה֙ מַה־ תִּתֶּן־ לִ֔י וְאָנֹכִ֖י הוֹלֵ֣ךְ עֲרִירִ֑י וּבֶן־ מֶ֣שֶׁק בֵּיתִ֔י ה֖וּא דַּמֶּ֥שֶׂק אֱלִיעֶֽזֶר׃
וַיִּֽמְעֲל֔וּ בֵּאלֹהֵ֖י אֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם וַיִּזְנ֗וּ אַחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י עַמֵּי־ הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־ הִשְׁמִ֥יד אֱלֹהִ֖ים מִפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃
וְיָצְא֣וּ וְרָא֔וּ בְּפִגְרֵי֙ הָאֲנָשִׁ֔ים הַפֹּשְׁעִ֖ים בִּ֑י כִּ֣י תוֹלַעְתָּ֞ם לֹ֣א תָמ֗וּת וְאִשָּׁם֙ לֹ֣א תִכְבֶּ֔ה וְהָי֥וּ דֵרָא֖וֹן לְכָל־ בָּשָֽׂר׃
וּבִימֵ֣י שָׁא֗וּל עָשׂ֤וּ מִלְחָמָה֙ עִם־ הַֽהַגְרִאִ֔ים וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ בְּיָדָ֑ם וַיֵּשְׁבוּ֙ בְּאָ֣הֳלֵיהֶ֔ם עַֽל־ כָּל־ פְּנֵ֖י מִזְרָ֥ח לַגִּלְעָֽד׃
וַיַּתְעֵ֣ב מְאֹ֔ד לָלֶ֖כֶת אַחֲרֵ֣י הַגִּלֻּלִ֑ים כְּכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשׂ֣וּ הָאֱמֹרִ֔י אֲשֶׁר֙ הוֹרִ֣ישׁ יְהוָ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
בַּיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵם֙ תִּוָּשַׁ֣ע יְהוּדָ֔ה וִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם תִּשְׁכּ֣וֹן לָבֶ֑טַח וְזֶ֥ה אֲשֶׁר־ יִקְרָא־ לָ֖הּ יְהוָ֥ה ׀ צִדְקֵֽנוּ׃
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֤יא אֲלֵיהֶם֙ רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ יוּכְל֖וּ לָצֵ֣את מִמֶּ֑נָּה וְזָעֲק֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וְלֹ֥א אֶשְׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אִישׁ־ הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ אֶל־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אִם־ תִּתֶּן־ לִי֙ אֶת־ חֲצִ֣י בֵיתֶ֔ךָ לֹ֥א אָבֹ֖א עִמָּ֑ךְ וְלֹֽא־ אֹ֤כַל לֶ֙חֶם֙ וְלֹ֣א אֶשְׁתֶּה־ מַּ֔יִם בַּמָּק֖וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
וַֽיהוָ֤ה אוֹתִי֙ כְּגִבּ֣וֹר עָרִ֔יץ עַל־ כֵּ֛ן רֹדְפַ֥י יִכָּשְׁל֖וּ וְלֹ֣א יֻכָ֑לוּ בֹּ֤שׁוּ מְאֹד֙ כִּֽי־ לֹ֣א הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ כְּלִמַּ֥ת עוֹלָ֖ם לֹ֥א תִשָּׁכֵֽחַ׃
וְזֶה֙ דְּבַ֣ר הָרֹצֵ֔חַ אֲשֶׁר־ יָנ֥וּס שָׁ֖מָּה וָחָ֑י אֲשֶׁ֨ר יַכֶּ֤ה אֶת־ רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ בִּבְלִי־ דַ֔עַת וְה֛וּא לֹא־ שֹׂנֵ֥א ל֖וֹ מִתְּמֹ֥ל שִׁלְשֹֽׁם׃
וַיַּגִּ֨דוּ עֲבָדָ֤יו לְדָוִד֙ אֶת־ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַיִּשַׁ֤ר הַדָּבָר֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י דָוִ֔ד לְהִתְחַתֵּ֖ן בַּמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְלֹ֥א מָלְא֖וּ הַיָּמִֽים׃
וַתְּהִי־ ע֧וֹד מִלְחָמָ֛ה לַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֵּ֨רֶד דָּוִ֜ד וַעֲבָדָ֥יו עִמּ֛וֹ וַיִלָּחֲמ֥וּ אֶת־ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וַיָּ֥עַף דָּוִֽד׃
וְהִזָּ֗ה עַ֧ל הַמִּטַּהֵ֛ר מִן־ הַצָּרַ֖עַת שֶׁ֣בַע פְּעָמִ֑ים וְטִ֣הֲר֔וֹ וְשִׁלַּ֛ח אֶת־ הַצִּפֹּ֥ר הַֽחַיָּ֖ה עַל־ פְּנֵ֥י הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃
עַל־ כֵּ֞ן לִבִּ֤י לְמוֹאָב֙ כַּחֲלִלִ֣ים יֶהֱמֶ֔ה וְלִבִּי֙ אֶל־ אַנְשֵׁ֣י קִֽיר־ חֶ֔רֶשׂ כַּחֲלִילִ֖ים יֶהֱמֶ֑ה עַל־ כֵּ֛ן יִתְרַ֥ת עָשָׂ֖ה אָבָֽדוּ׃
מִבְחַ֤ר הַצֹּאן֙ לָק֔וֹחַ וְגַ֛ם דּ֥וּר הָעֲצָמִ֖ים תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ רַתַּ֣ח רְתָחֶ֔יהָ גַּם־ בָּשְׁל֥וּ עֲצָמֶ֖יהָ בְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃
וּפָרַשְׂתִּ֤י אֶת־ רִשְׁתִּי֙ עָלָ֔יו וְנִתְפַּ֖שׂ בִּמְצֽוּדָתִ֑י וְהֵבֵאתִ֨י אֹת֤וֹ בָבֶ֙לָה֙ אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וְאוֹתָ֥הּ לֹֽא־ יִרְאֶ֖ה וְשָׁ֥ם יָמֽוּת׃
רַ֧ק בַּאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ חָשַׁ֥ק יְהוָ֖ה לְאַהֲבָ֣ה אוֹתָ֑ם וַיִּבְחַ֞ר בְּזַרְעָ֣ם אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם בָּכֶ֛ם מִכָּל־ הָעַמִּ֖ים כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּה׃
Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:
I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.

मम योनिर्महद्ब्रह्म तस्मिन् गर्भं दधाम्यहम् । सम्भवः सर्वभूतानां ततो भवति भारत
Πᾶς ὁ ποιῶν τὴν ἁμαρτίαν καὶ τὴν ἀνομίαν ποιεῖ, καὶ ἡ ἁμαρτία ἐστὶν ἡ ἀνομία.
καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῇ χρόνον ἵνα μετανοήσῃ, καὶ οὐ θέλει μετανοῆσαι ἐκ τῆς πορνείας αὐτῆς.
