וַיָּ֧קָם הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ וַיִּקְרַ֥ע אֶת־ בְּגָדָ֖יו וַיִּשְׁכַּ֣ב אָ֑רְצָה וְכָל־ עֲבָדָ֥יו נִצָּבִ֖ים קְרֻעֵ֥י בְגָדִֽים׃
וַיְהִ֤י דְבַר־ יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֣י לֵאמֹ֔ר מָה־ אַתָּ֥ה רֹאֶ֖ה יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ וָאֹמַ֕ר מַקֵּ֥ל שָׁקֵ֖ד אֲנִ֥י רֹאֶֽה׃
וּפַ֨ר חַטָּ֜את תַּעֲשֶׂ֤ה לַיּוֹם֙ עַל־ הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים וְחִטֵּאתָ֙ עַל־ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ בְּכַפֶּרְךָ֖ עָלָ֑יו וּמָֽשַׁחְתָּ֥ אֹת֖וֹ לְקַדְּשֽׁוֹ׃
From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
