וַיְמָאֵ֗ן וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לֹ֣א אֹכַ֔ל וַיִּפְרְצוּ־ ב֤וֹ עֲבָדָיו֙ וְגַם־ הָ֣אִשָּׁ֔ה וַיִּשְׁמַ֖ע לְקֹלָ֑ם וַיָּ֙קָם֙ מֵֽהָאָ֔רֶץ וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב אֶל־ הַמִּטָּֽה׃
וְעָפ֨וּ בְכָתֵ֤ף פְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ יָ֔מָּה יַחְדָּ֖ו יָבֹ֣זּוּ אֶת־ בְּנֵי־ קֶ֑דֶם אֱד֤וֹם וּמוֹאָב֙ מִשְׁל֣וֹח יָדָ֔ם וּבְנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹן מִשְׁמַעְתָּֽם׃
וְאֶת־ הַמִּשְׁתַּחֲוִ֥ים עַל־ הַגַּגּ֖וֹת לִצְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וְאֶת־ הַמִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוִים֙ הַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֣ים לַֽיהוָ֔ה וְהַנִּשְׁבָּעִ֖ים בְּמַלְכָּֽם׃
שָׁמוֹר֙ אֶת־ חֹ֣דֶשׁ הָאָבִ֔יב וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ פֶּ֔סַח לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ כִּ֞י בְּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָֽאָבִ֗יב הוֹצִ֨יאֲךָ֜ יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם לָֽיְלָה׃
וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֤ אֹתָם֙ אֶת־ אַהֲרֹ֣ן אָחִ֔יךָ וְאֶת־ בָּנָ֖יו אִתּ֑וֹ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֨ אֹתָ֜ם וּמִלֵּאתָ֧ אֶת־ יָדָ֛ם וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם וְכִהֲנ֥וּ לִֽי׃
נִטְּשׁ֖וּ חֲבָלָ֑יִךְ בַּל־ יְחַזְּק֤וּ כֵן־ תָּרְנָם֙ בַּל־ פָּ֣רְשׂוּ נֵ֔ס אָ֣ז חֻלַּ֤ק עַֽד־ שָׁלָל֙ מַרְבֶּ֔ה פִּסְחִ֖ים בָּ֥זְזוּ בַֽז׃
שׁ֤וּבִי שׁ֙וּבִי֙ הַשּׁ֣וּלַמִּ֔ית שׁ֥וּבִי שׁ֖וּבִי וְנֶחֱזֶה־ בָּ֑ךְ מַֽה־ תֶּחֱזוּ֙ בַּשּׁ֣וּלַמִּ֔ית כִּמְחֹלַ֖ת הַֽמַּחֲנָֽיִם׃
נֶ֚פֶשׁ כִּ֣י תֶחֱטָ֔א וּמָעֲלָ֥ה מַ֖עַל בַּיהוָ֑ה וְכִחֵ֨שׁ בַּעֲמִית֜וֹ בְּפִקָּד֗וֹן אֽוֹ־ בִתְשׂ֤וּמֶת יָד֙ א֣וֹ בְגָזֵ֔ל א֖וֹ עָשַׁ֥ק אֶת־ עֲמִיתֽוֹ׃
וַיַּ֣עַשׂ אֱלֹהִים֩ אֶת־ חַיַּ֨ת הָאָ֜רֶץ לְמִינָ֗הּ וְאֶת־ הַבְּהֵמָה֙ לְמִינָ֔הּ וְאֵ֛ת כָּל־ רֶ֥מֶשׂ הָֽאֲדָמָ֖ה לְמִינֵ֑הוּ וַיַּ֥רְא אֱלֹהִ֖ים כִּי־ טֽוֹב׃
נָקַ֤בְתָּ בְמַטָּיו֙ רֹ֣אשׁ פרזו פְּרָזָ֔יו יִסְעֲר֖וּ לַהֲפִיצֵ֑נִי עֲלִ֣יצֻתָ֔ם כְּמוֹ־ לֶאֱכֹ֥ל עָנִ֖י בַּמִּסְתָּֽר׃
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־ הַשָּׂטָ֗ן יִגְעַ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה בְּךָ֙ הַשָּׂטָ֔ן וְיִגְעַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ בְּךָ֔ הַבֹּחֵ֖ר בִּירֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם הֲל֧וֹא זֶ֦ה א֖וּד מֻצָּ֥ל מֵאֵֽשׁ׃
וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֞וּ אֶת־ כְּתֹ֣נֶת הַפַּסִּ֗ים וַיָּבִ֙יאוּ֙ אֶל־ אֲבִיהֶ֔ם וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ זֹ֣את מָצָ֑אנוּ הַכֶּר־ נָ֗א הַכְּתֹ֧נֶת בִּנְךָ֛ הִ֖וא אִם־ לֹֽא׃
וַֽיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ אֱמֶ֔ת הֽוּא־ אֱלֹהִ֥ים חַיִּ֖ים וּמֶ֣לֶךְ עוֹלָ֑ם מִקִּצְפּוֹ֙ תִּרְעַ֣שׁ הָאָ֔רֶץ וְלֹֽא־ יָכִ֥לוּ גוֹיִ֖ם זַעְמֽוֹ׃
וַיַּ֨עַשׂ אַבְשָׁל֜וֹם כַּדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ לְכָל־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁר־ יָבֹ֥אוּ לַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט אֶל־ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיְגַנֵּב֙ אַבְשָׁל֔וֹם אֶת־ לֵ֖ב אַנְשֵׁ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
הָלוֹךְ֩ וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֶל־ חֲנַנְיָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה מוֹטֹ֥ת עֵ֖ץ שָׁבָ֑רְתָּ וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ תַחְתֵּיהֶ֖ן מֹט֥וֹת בַּרְזֶֽל׃
And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.
