כִּֽי־ הַחֲרֵ֣ם תַּחֲרִימֵ֗ם הַחִתִּ֤י וְהָאֱמֹרִי֙ הַכְּנַעֲנִ֣י וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י הַחִוִּ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִ֑י כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוְּךָ֖ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
קֹרֵ֤א מִמִּזְרָח֙ עַ֔יִט מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מֶרְחָ֖ק אִ֣ישׁ עצתו עֲצָתִ֑י אַף־ דִּבַּ֙רְתִּי֙ אַף־ אֲבִיאֶ֔נָּה יָצַ֖רְתִּי אַף־ אֶעֱשֶֽׂנָּה׃
וָאֹמַ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם אִ֣ישׁ שִׁקּוּצֵ֤י עֵינָיו֙ הַשְׁלִ֔יכוּ וּבְגִלּוּלֵ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם אַל־ תִּטַּמָּ֑אוּ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
וָֽאֶתְנַפַּ֞ל לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה אֵ֣ת אַרְבָּעִ֥ים הַיּ֛וֹם וְאֶת־ אַרְבָּעִ֥ים הַלַּ֖יְלָה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִתְנַפָּ֑לְתִּי כִּֽי־ אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה לְהַשְׁמִ֥יד אֶתְכֶֽם׃
לֹ֣א ׀ אֶל־ עַמִּ֣ים רַבִּ֗ים עִמְקֵ֤י שָׂפָה֙ וְכִבְדֵ֣י לָשׁ֔וֹן אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־ תִשְׁמַ֖ע דִּבְרֵיהֶ֑ם אִם־ לֹ֤א אֲלֵיהֶם֙ שְׁלַחְתִּ֔יךָ הֵ֖מָּה יִשְׁמְע֥וּ אֵלֶֽיךָ׃
מִֽי־ הָאִ֤ישׁ הֶֽחָכָם֙ וְיָבֵ֣ן אֶת־ זֹ֔את וַאֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר פִּֽי־ יְהוָ֛ה אֵלָ֖יו וְיַגִּדָ֑הּ עַל־ מָה֙ אָבְדָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ נִצְּתָ֥ה כַמִּדְבָּ֖ר מִבְּלִֽי עֹבֵֽר׃
וְהִנֵּ֣ה שָׁא֗וּל בָּ֣א אַחֲרֵ֤י הַבָּקָר֙ מִן־ הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֔וּל מַה־ לָּעָ֖ם כִּ֣י יִבְכּ֑וּ וַיְסַ֨פְּרוּ־ ל֔וֹ אֶת־ דִּבְרֵ֖י אַנְשֵׁ֥י יָבֵֽישׁ׃
וַתִּדְבַּ֞ק בְּנַעֲר֥וֹת בֹּ֙עַז֙ לְלַקֵּ֔ט עַד־ כְּל֥וֹת קְצִֽיר־ הַשְּׂעֹרִ֖ים וּקְצִ֣יר הַֽחִטִּ֑ים וַתֵּ֖שֶׁב אֶת־ חֲמוֹתָֽהּ׃
הַמְעַ֗ט כִּ֤י הֶֽעֱלִיתָ֙נוּ֙ מֵאֶ֨רֶץ זָבַ֤ת חָלָב֙ וּדְבַ֔שׁ לַהֲמִיתֵ֖נוּ בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר כִּֽי־ תִשְׂתָּרֵ֥ר עָלֵ֖ינוּ גַּם־ הִשְׂתָּרֵֽר׃
For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel their confidence.

Δεῦτε πρός με πάντες οἱ κοπιῶντες καὶ πεφορτισμένοι, κἀγὼ ἀναπαύσω ὑμᾶς.
قُلِ انْظُرُوا مَاذَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُغْنِي الْآيَاتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَنْ قَوْمٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
