מַה־ שֶּֽׁהָיָ֗ה כְּבָר֙ נִקְרָ֣א שְׁמ֔וֹ וְנוֹדָ֖ע אֲשֶׁר־ ה֣וּא אָדָ֑ם וְלֹא־ יוּכַ֣ל לָדִ֔ין עִ֥ם שהתקיף שֶׁתַּקִּ֖יף מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃
וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ יְהוֹיָקִ֛ים אֲנָשִׁ֖ים מִצְרָ֑יִם אֵ֣ת אֶלְנָתָ֧ן בֶּן־ עַכְבּ֛וֹר וַאֲנָשִׁ֥ים אִתּ֖וֹ אֶל־ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
וָאֹמַ֕ר לֹ֥א אֶרְעֶ֖ה אֶתְכֶ֑ם הַמֵּתָ֣ה תָמ֗וּת וְהַנִּכְחֶ֙דֶת֙ תִּכָּחֵ֔ד וְהַ֨נִּשְׁאָר֔וֹת תֹּאכַ֕לְנָה אִשָּׁ֖ה אֶת־ בְּשַׂ֥ר רְעוּתָֽהּ׃
וַיַּצֵּ֨ב יַעֲקֹ֜ב מַצֵּבָ֗ה בַּמָּק֛וֹם אֲשֶׁר־ דִּבֶּ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ מַצֶּ֣בֶת אָ֑בֶן וַיַּסֵּ֤ךְ עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ נֶ֔סֶךְ וַיִּצֹ֥ק עָלֶ֖יהָ שָֽׁמֶן׃
קַדְּשׁ֤וּ עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ מִלְחָמָ֔ה ק֖וּמוּ וְנַעֲלֶ֣ה בַֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם א֥וֹי לָ֙נוּ֙ כִּי־ פָנָ֣ה הַיּ֔וֹם כִּ֥י יִנָּט֖וּ צִלְלֵי־ עָֽרֶב׃
וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר מֹשֶׁ֔ה לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר הֵ֤ן בְּנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לֹֽא־ שָׁמְע֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וְאֵיךְ֙ יִשְׁמָעֵ֣נִי פַרְעֹ֔ה וַאֲנִ֖י עֲרַ֥ל שְׂפָתָֽיִם׃
וַתָּשֻׁ֤רִי לַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ בַּשֶּׁ֔מֶן וַתַּרְבִּ֖י רִקֻּחָ֑יִךְ וַתְּשַׁלְּחִ֤י צִרַ֙יִךְ֙ עַד־ מֵ֣רָחֹ֔ק וַתַּשְׁפִּ֖ילִי עַד־ שְׁאֽוֹל׃
הִנְנִי֩ מֵבִ֨יא עָלַ֜יִךְ פַּ֗חַד נְאֻם־ אֲדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֛ה צְבָא֖וֹת מִכָּל־ סְבִיבָ֑יִךְ וְנִדַּחְתֶּם֙ אִ֣ישׁ לְפָנָ֔יו וְאֵ֥ין מְקַבֵּ֖ץ לַנֹּדֵֽד׃
וַיְהִ֗י כְּשָׁמְעָם֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֔ים פָּחֲד֖וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־ רֵעֵ֑הוּ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־ בָּר֔וּךְ הַגֵּ֤יד נַגִּיד֙ לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֥ת כָּל־ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
מִזְמ֡וֹר שִׁ֤ירוּ לַֽיהוָ֨ה ׀ שִׁ֣יר חָ֭דָשׁ כִּֽי־ נִפְלָא֣וֹת עָשָׂ֑ה הוֹשִֽׁיעָה־ לּ֥וֹ יְ֝מִינ֗וֹ וּזְר֥וֹעַ קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃
My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words,
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.
Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;
My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.

Καὶ ἐκπορευομένων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Ἰεριχὼ ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ ὄχλος πολύς.
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ
مَا أَصَابَ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَبْرَأَهَا إِنَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ
