המליך ש' באש וקשר לו כתר, וצרפן זה בזה וצר בהן שמי"ם בעולם, חו"ם בשנה, רא"ש בנפש זכר ונקבה, זכר בשמ"א נקבה בשא"מ:
הַעִידֹ֨תִי בָכֶ֣ם הַיּוֹם֮ אֶת־ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־ הָאָרֶץ֒ הַחַיִּ֤ים וְהַמָּ֙וֶת֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לְפָנֶ֔יךָ הַבְּרָכָ֖ה וְהַקְּלָלָ֑ה וּבָֽחַרְתָּ֙ בַּֽחַיִּ֔ים לְמַ֥עַן תִּחְיֶ֖ה אַתָּ֥ה וְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃
וּבְכָל־ מְדִינָ֨ה וּמְדִינָ֜ה וּבְכָל־ עִ֣יר וָעִ֗יר מְקוֹם֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר דְּבַר־ הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ וְדָתוֹ֙ מַגִּ֔יעַ שִׂמְחָ֤ה וְשָׂשׂוֹן֙ לַיְּהוּדִ֔ים מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה וְי֣וֹם ט֑וֹב וְרַבִּ֞ים מֵֽעַמֵּ֤י הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ מִֽתְיַהֲדִ֔ים כִּֽי־ נָפַ֥ל פַּֽחַד־ הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors.
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.
And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
ἐλήλυθεν ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐσθίων καὶ πίνων, καὶ λέγετε· Ἰδοὺ ἄνθρωπος φάγος καὶ οἰνοπότης, φίλος τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν.
