וּבְנֵ֥י שְׁכַנְיָ֖ה שְׁמַעְיָ֑ה וּבְנֵ֣י שְׁמַעְיָ֗ה חַטּ֡וּשׁ וְ֠יִגְאָל וּבָרִ֧יחַ וּנְעַרְיָ֛ה וְשָׁפָ֖ט שִׁשָּֽׁה׃
עִמְדִי־ נָ֤א בַחֲבָרַ֙יִךְ֙ וּבְרֹ֣ב כְּשָׁפַ֔יִךְ בַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר יָגַ֖עַתְּ מִנְּעוּרָ֑יִךְ אוּלַ֛י תּוּכְלִ֥י הוֹעִ֖יל אוּלַ֥י תַּעֲרֽוֹצִי׃
וַיּֽוֹצִיאֵ֗ם כּ֚וֹרֶשׁ מֶ֣לֶךְ פָּרַ֔ס עַל־ יַ֖ד מִתְרְדָ֣ת הַגִּזְבָּ֑ר וַֽיִּסְפְּרֵם֙ לְשֵׁשְׁבַּצַּ֔ר הַנָּשִׂ֖יא לִיהוּדָֽה׃
וּפְנֵ֨י אָדָ֤ם אֶל־ הַתִּֽמֹרָה֙ מִפּ֔וֹ וּפְנֵֽי־ כְפִ֥יר אֶל־ הַתִּֽמֹרָ֖ה מִפּ֑וֹ עָשׂ֥וּי אֶל־ כָּל־ הַבַּ֖יִת סָבִ֥יב ׀ סָבִֽיב׃
וְגַ֣ם אָנֹכִ֗י הִשְׁאִלְתִּ֙הוּ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה כָּל־ הַיָּמִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֔ה ה֥וּא שָׁא֖וּל לַֽיהוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ שָׁ֖ם לַיהוָֽה׃
וַיָּבֹא֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִ֔יד וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מִֽי־ אֲנִ֞י יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ וּמִ֣י בֵיתִ֔י כִּ֥י הֲבִיאֹתַ֖נִי עַד־ הֲלֹֽם׃
וֽ͏ַיְחִי־ שֶׁ֗לַח אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־ עֵ֔בֶר שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃
וַיָּ֤שֶׂם דָּנִיֵּאל֙ עַל־ לִבּ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹֽא־ יִתְגָּאַ֛ל בְּפַתְבַּ֥ג הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וּבְיֵ֣ין מִשְׁתָּ֑יו וַיְבַקֵּשׁ֙ מִשַּׂ֣ר הַסָּרִיסִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִתְגָּאָֽל׃
וְנָתַ֧ן אַהֲרֹ֛ן עַל־ שְׁנֵ֥י הַשְּׂעִירִ֖ם גּוֹרָל֑וֹת גּוֹרָ֤ל אֶחָד֙ לַיהוָ֔ה וְגוֹרָ֥ל אֶחָ֖ד לַעֲזָאזֵֽל׃
וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא וְעֵלִ֖י שֹׁכֵ֣ב בִּמְקֹמ֑וֹ ועינו וְעֵינָיו֙ הֵחֵ֣לּוּ כֵה֔וֹת לֹ֥א יוּכַ֖ל לִרְאֽוֹת׃
וַתֹּ֣אמֶר ל֗וֹ אֲדֹנִי֙ אַתָּ֨ה נִשְׁבַּ֜עְתָּ בַּֽיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ לַֽאֲמָתֶ֔ךָ כִּֽי־ שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בְנֵ֖ךְ יִמְלֹ֣ךְ אַחֲרָ֑י וְה֖וּא יֵשֵׁ֥ב עַל־ כִּסְאִֽי׃
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֔ה אִם־ אֶמְצָ֥א בִסְדֹ֛ם חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים צַדִּיקִ֖ם בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעִ֑יר וְנָשָׂ֥אתִי לְכָל־ הַמָּק֖וֹם בַּעֲבוּרָֽם׃
וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ תּוֹלְדֹ֣ת תֶּ֔רַח תֶּ֚רַח הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־ אַבְרָ֔ם אֶת־ נָח֖וֹר וְאֶת־ הָרָ֑ן וְהָרָ֖ן הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־ לֽוֹט׃
אֵ֚לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־ שָׁלַ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֖ה לָת֣וּר אֶת־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה לְהוֹשֵׁ֥עַ בִּן־ נ֖וּן יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃
כִּי־ רָאָ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־ עֳנִ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֹרֶ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וְאֶ֤פֶס עָצוּר֙ וְאֶ֣פֶס עָז֔וּב וְאֵ֥ין עֹזֵ֖ר לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אִם־ לֹ֥א שרותך שֵֽׁרִיתִ֖יךָ לְט֑וֹב אִם־ ל֣וֹא ׀ הִפְגַּ֣עְתִּֽי בְךָ֗ בְּעֵ֥ת רָעָ֛ה וּבְעֵ֥ת צָרָ֖ה אֶת־ הָאֹיֵֽב׃
כְּק֣וֹל מַרְכָּב֗וֹת עַל־ רָאשֵׁ֤י הֶֽהָרִים֙ יְרַקֵּד֔וּן כְּקוֹל֙ לַ֣הַב אֵ֔שׁ אֹכְלָ֖ה קָ֑שׁ כְּעַ֣ם עָצ֔וּם עֱר֖וּךְ מִלְחָמָֽה׃
אֶעְבְּרָה־ נָּ֗א וְאֶרְאֶה֙ אֶת־ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַטּוֹבָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּעֵ֣בֶר הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן הָהָ֥ר הַטּ֛וֹב הַזֶּ֖ה וְהַלְּבָנֽוֹן׃
וַתִּקַּ֨ח מִיכַ֜ל אֶת־ הַתְּרָפִ֗ים וַתָּ֙שֶׂם֙ אֶל־ הַמִּטָּ֔ה וְאֵת֙ כְּבִ֣יר הָֽעִזִּ֔ים שָׂ֖מָה מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יו וַתְּכַ֖ס בַּבָּֽגֶד׃
וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֙ אֶת־ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לִפְנֵ֥י אַהֲרֹ֖ן וְלִפְנֵ֣י בָנָ֑יו וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֛ם תְּנוּפָ֖ה לַֽיהוָֽה׃
כִּ֚י יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ מְבִֽיאֲךָ֖ אֶל־ אֶ֣רֶץ טוֹבָ֑ה אֶ֚רֶץ נַ֣חֲלֵי מָ֔יִם עֲיָנֹת֙ וּתְהֹמֹ֔ת יֹצְאִ֥ים בַּבִּקְעָ֖ה וּבָהָֽר׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִד֙ אֶל־ שָׁא֔וּל רֹעֶ֨ה הָיָ֧ה עַבְדְּךָ֛ לְאָבִ֖יו בַּצֹּ֑אן וּבָ֤א הָֽאֲרִי֙ וְאֶת־ הַדּ֔וֹב וְנָשָׂ֥א שֶׂ֖ה מֵהָעֵֽדֶר׃
אֶ֚פֶס כִּֽי־ עַ֣ז הָעָ֔ם הַיֹּשֵׁ֖ב בָּאָ֑רֶץ וְהֶֽעָרִ֗ים בְּצֻר֤וֹת גְּדֹלֹת֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְגַם־ יְלִדֵ֥י הֽ͏ָעֲנָ֖ק רָאִ֥ינוּ שָֽׁם׃
לָ֤מָּה ׀ יֹאמְר֣וּ הַגּוֹיִם֮ אַיֵּ֢ה אֱֽלֹהֵ֫יהֶ֥ם יִוָּדַ֣ע בגיים בַּגּוֹיִ֣ם לְעֵינֵ֑ינוּ נִ֝קְמַ֗ת דַּֽם־ עֲבָדֶ֥יךָ הַשָּׁפֽוּךְ׃
וְרַבִּ֕ים מִיְּשֵׁנֵ֥י אַדְמַת־ עָפָ֖ר יָקִ֑יצוּ אֵ֚לֶּה לְחַיֵּ֣י עוֹלָ֔ם וְאֵ֥לֶּה לַחֲרָפ֖וֹת לְדִרְא֥וֹן עוֹלָֽם׃
The son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,
Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street,
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
किं कर्म किमकर्मेति कवयोऽप्यत्र मोहिताः । तत्ते कर्म प्रवक्ष्यामि यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्
yam aadityaa abhi druho rakSathaa nem aghaM nashad anehaso va uutayaH suuutayo va uutayaH
vi tvaa tatasre mithunaa avasyavo vrajasya saataa gavyasya niHsRjaH sakSanta indra niHsRjaH
σὺ δὲ νηστεύων ἄλειψαί σου τὴν κεφαλὴν καὶ τὸ πρόσωπόν σου νίψαι,
καὶ ταῦτα λέγοντες μόλις κατέπαυσαν τοὺς ὄχλους τοῦ μὴ θύειν αὐτοῖς.
قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَامٍ مِنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَمٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَكَ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
وَقَالُوا لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِهِ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
