וַ֠יֵּצֵא יִשְׁמָעֵ֨אל בֶּן־ נְתַנְיָ֤ה לִקְרָאתָם֙ מִן־ הַמִּצְפָּ֔ה הֹלֵ֥ךְ הָלֹ֖ךְ וּבֹכֶ֑ה וַֽיְהִי֙ כִּפְגֹ֣שׁ אֹתָ֔ם וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם בֹּ֖אוּ אֶל־ גְּדַלְיָ֥הוּ בֶן־ אֲחִיקָֽם׃
צֹ֣הַר ׀ תּֽ͏ַעֲשֶׂ֣ה לַתֵּבָ֗ה וְאֶל־ אַמָּה֙ תְּכַלֶ֣נָּה מִלְמַ֔עְלָה וּפֶ֥תַח הַתֵּבָ֖ה בְּצִדָּ֣הּ תָּשִׂ֑ים תַּחְתִּיִּ֛ם שְׁנִיִּ֥ם וּשְׁלִשִׁ֖ים תּֽ͏ַעֲשֶֽׂהָ׃
Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
