וְאֶת־ בַּת־ פַּרְעֹ֗ה הֶעֱלָ֤ה שְׁלֹמֹה֙ מֵעִ֣יר דָּוִ֔יד לַבַּ֖יִת אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּֽנָה־ לָ֑הּ כִּ֣י אָמַ֗ר לֹא־ תֵשֵׁ֨ב אִשָּׁ֥ה לִי֙ בְּבֵית֙ דָּוִ֣יד מֶֽלֶךְ־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּי־ קֹ֣דֶשׁ הֵ֔מָּה אֲשֶׁר־ בָּֽאָ֥ה אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם אֲר֥וֹן יְהוָֽה׃
וַיֵּצֵא֮ לִפְנֵ֣י אָסָא֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ שְׁמָע֕וּנִי אָסָ֖א וְכָל־ יְהוּדָ֣ה וּבִנְיָמִ֑ן יְהוָ֤ה עִמָּכֶם֙ בִּֽהְיֽוֹתְכֶ֣ם עִמּ֔וֹ וְאִֽם־ תִּדְרְשֻׁ֙הוּ֙ יִמָּצֵ֣א לָכֶ֔ם וְאִם־ תַּעַזְבֻ֖הוּ יַעֲזֹ֥ב אֶתְכֶֽם׃
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.
Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
يَا صَاحِبَيِ السِّجْنِ أَمَّا أَحَدُكُمَا فَيَسْقِي رَبَّهُ خَمْرًا وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَيُصْلَبُ فَتَأْكُلُ الطَّيْرُ مِنْ رَأْسِهِ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ الَّذِي فِيهِ تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ
