וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֶל־ עֲבָדָ֜יו רְאוּ֩ חֶלְקַ֨ת יוֹאָ֤ב אֶל־ יָדִי֙ וְלוֹ־ שָׁ֣ם שְׂעֹרִ֔ים לְכ֖וּ והוצתיה וְהַצִּית֣וּהָ בָאֵ֑שׁ וַיַּצִּ֜תוּ עַבְדֵ֧י אַבְשָׁל֛וֹם אֶת־ הַחֶלְקָ֖ה בָּאֵֽשׁ׃
וַֽיַּהֲרֹ֞ג זִכְרִ֣י ׀ גִּבּ֣וֹר אֶפְרַ֗יִם אֶת־ מַעֲשֵׂיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְאֶת־ עַזְרִיקָ֖ם נְגִ֣יד הַבָּ֑יִת וְאֶת־ אֶלְקָנָ֖ה מִשְׁנֵ֥ה הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

अमी च त्वां धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्राः सर्वे सहैवावनिपालसङ्घैः । भीष्मो द्रोणः सूतपुत्रस्तथाऽसौ सहास्मदीयैरपि योधमुख्यैः
مَا كَانَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مِنْ حَرَجٍ فِيمَا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَهُ سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ قَدَرًا مَقْدُورًا
