מַלֵּ֖א שְׁבֻ֣עַ זֹ֑את וְנִתְּנָ֨ה לְךָ֜ גַּם־ אֶת־ זֹ֗את בַּעֲבֹדָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲבֹ֣ד עִמָּדִ֔י ע֖וֹד שֶֽׁבַע־ שָׁנִ֥ים אֲחֵרֽוֹת׃
וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ בְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶל־ בְּנֵי־ רְאוּבֵ֧ן וְאֶל־ בְּנֵי־ גָ֛ד וְאֶל־ חֲצִ֥י שֵֽׁבֶט־ מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה אֶל־ אֶ֣רֶץ הַגִּלְעָ֑ד אֶת־ פִּינְחָ֖ס בֶּן־ אֶלְעָזָ֥ר הַכֹּהֵֽן׃
וַתּוֹצֵ֨א הָאָ֜רֶץ דֶּ֠שֶׁא עֵ֣שֶׂב מַזְרִ֤יעַ זֶ֙רַע֙ לְמִינֵ֔הוּ וְעֵ֧ץ עֹֽשֶׂה־ פְּרִ֛י אֲשֶׁ֥ר זַרְעוֹ־ ב֖וֹ לְמִינֵ֑הוּ וַיַּ֥רְא אֱלֹהִ֖ים כִּי־ טֽוֹב׃
וְאֶתְכֶם֙ אֱזָרֶ֣ה בַגּוֹיִ֔ם וַהֲרִיקֹתִ֥י אַחֲרֵיכֶ֖ם חָ֑רֶב וְהָיְתָ֤ה אַרְצְכֶם֙ שְׁמָמָ֔ה וְעָרֵיכֶ֖ם יִהְי֥וּ חָרְבָּֽה׃
וְאִשְּׁר֥וּ אֶתְכֶ֖ם כָּל־ הַגּוֹיִ֑ם כִּֽי־ תִהְי֤וּ אַתֶּם֙ אֶ֣רֶץ חֵ֔פֶץ אָמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.
And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
And all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert,
None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
