וַאֲנָ֗ה לָ֤א בְחָכְמָה֙ דִּֽי־ אִיתַ֥י בִּי֙ מִן־ כָּל־ חַיַּיָּ֔א רָזָ֥א דְנָ֖ה גֱּלִ֣י לִ֑י לָהֵ֗ן עַל־ דִּבְרַת֙ דִּ֤י פִשְׁרָא֙ לְמַלְכָּ֣א יְהוֹדְע֔וּן וְרַעְיוֹנֵ֥י לִבְבָ֖ךְ תִּנְדַּֽע׃
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
tam pRchanto .avaraasaH paraaNi pratnaa ta indra shrutyaanu yemuH
asnaataapo vRSabho na pra veti sacetaso yam praNayanta martaaH
ashvyasya tmanaa rathyasya puSTer nityasya raayaH patayaH syaama
vidmaa hi rudriyaaNaaM shuSmam ugram marutaaM shimiivataam
parehi vigram astRtam indram pRchaa vipashcitam
αὐτὰρ ἐπεί ῥʼ ὄμοσέν τε τελεύτησέν τε τὸν ὅρκον,
لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ هَذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
