וּבְנָיָ֥הוּ וְיַחֲזִיאֵ֖ל הַכֹּהֲנִ֑ים בַּחֲצֹצְר֣וֹת תָּמִ֔יד לִפְנֵ֖י אֲר֥וֹן בְּרִית־ הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
וַֽיְהִי֙ מִֽמָּחֳרָ֔ת וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ הָעָ֔ם וַיִּבְנוּ־ שָׁ֖ם מִזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיַּעֲל֥וּ עֹל֖וֹת וּשְׁלָמִֽים׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲרַ֙וְנָה֙ אֶל־ דָּוִ֔ד יִקַּ֥ח וְיַ֛עַל אֲדֹנִ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ הַטּ֣וֹב בעינו בְּעֵינָ֑יו רְאֵה֙ הַבָּקָ֣ר לָעֹלָ֔ה וְהַמֹּרִגִּ֛ים וּכְלֵ֥י הַבָּקָ֖ר לָעֵצִֽים׃
הַיוֹשֶׁ֣בֶת בַּגַּנִּ֗ים חֲבֵרִ֛ים מַקְשִׁיבִ֥ים לְקוֹלֵ֖ךְ הַשְׁמִיעִֽינִי׃
וַיַּ֗עַשׂ בָּרוּךְ֙ בֶּן־ נֵ֣רִיָּ֔ה כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־ צִוָּ֖הוּ יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֑יא לִקְרֹ֥א בַסֵּ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה׃
וַיֶּחֱרַ֨ד יִצְחָ֣ק חֲרָדָה֮ גְּדֹלָ֣ה עַד־ מְאֹד֒ וַיֹּ֡אמֶר מִֽי־ אֵפ֡וֹא ה֣וּא הַצָּֽד־ צַיִד֩ וַיָּ֨בֵא לִ֜י וָאֹכַ֥ל מִכֹּ֛ל בְּטֶ֥רֶם תָּב֖וֹא וָאֲבָרֲכֵ֑הוּ גַּם־ בָּר֖וּךְ יִהְיֶֽה׃
וַיְרַגֵּ֣ל בְּעַבְדְּךָ֔ אֶל־ אֲדֹנִ֖י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַאדֹנִ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ כְּמַלְאַ֣ךְ הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וַעֲשֵׂ֥ה הַטּ֖וֹב בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
taav idaa cid ahaanaaM taav ashvinaa vandamaana upa bruve
uurdhvas tiSThaa na uutaye .asmin vaaje shatakrato
iyaM saa bhuuyaa uSasaam iva kSaa yad dha kSumantaH shavasaa samaayan
κεῖτο μέγας παρʼ ἔπαλξιν ὑπέρτατος· οὐδέ κέ μιν ῥέα
قَالَ فِيهَا تَحْيَوْنَ وَفِيهَا تَمُوتُونَ وَمِنْهَا تُخْرَجُونَ
