וִיהִי־ מָ֣ה אָר֔וּץ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ל֖וֹ ר֑וּץ וַיָּ֤רָץ אֲחִימַ֙עַץ֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַכִּכָּ֔ר וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖ר אֶת־ הַכּוּשִֽׁי׃
וּנְשָׂאתֶ֗ם אֵ֚ת סִכּ֣וּת מַלְכְּכֶ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת כִּיּ֣וּן צַלְמֵיכֶ֑ם כּוֹכַב֙ אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם לָכֶֽם׃
וּכְשָׁמְעִי֙ אֶת־ הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה קָרַ֥עְתִּי אֶת־ בִּגְדִ֖י וּמְעִילִ֑י וָאֶמְרְטָ֞ה מִשְּׂעַ֤ר רֹאשִׁי֙ וּזְקָנִ֔י וָאֵשְׁבָ֖ה מְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃
עַמּוּדָיו֙ עָ֣שָׂה כֶ֔סֶף רְפִידָת֣וֹ זָהָ֔ב מֶרְכָּב֖וֹ אַרְגָּמָ֑ן תּוֹכוֹ֙ רָצ֣וּף אַהֲבָ֔ה מִבְּנ֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
וְהָיָ֗ה בְּיוֹם֙ זֶ֣בַח יְהוָ֔ה וּפָקַדְתִּ֥י עַל־ הַשָּׂרִ֖ים וְעַל־ בְּנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְעַ֥ל כָּל־ הַלֹּבְשִׁ֖ים מַלְבּ֥וּשׁ נָכְרִֽי׃
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙ אֶל־ הָעָ֔ם אֲנִ֞י נוֹתַ֧רְתִּי נָבִ֛יא לַיהוָ֖ה לְבַדִּ֑י וּנְבִיאֵ֣י הַבַּ֔עַל אַרְבַּע־ מֵא֥וֹת וַחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים אִֽישׁ׃
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֔ה עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ נָֽשְׂא֗וּ אֶת־ רֹ֛אשׁ אַנְשֵׁ֥י הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּיָדֵ֑נוּ וְלֹא־ נִפְקַ֥ד מִמֶּ֖נּוּ אִֽישׁ׃
כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה עַל־ שְׁלֹשָׁה֙ פִּשְׁעֵ֣י מוֹאָ֔ב וְעַל־ אַרְבָּעָ֖ה לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ עַל־ שָׂרְפ֛וֹ עַצְמ֥וֹת מֶֽלֶךְ־ אֱד֖וֹם לַשִּֽׂיד׃
אֵ֣ין ׀ שַׂ֣ר בֵּית־ הַסֹּהַ֗ר רֹאֶ֤ה אֶֽת־ כָּל־ מְא֙וּמָה֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ בַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אִתּ֑וֹ וַֽאֲשֶׁר־ ה֥וּא עֹשֶׂ֖ה יְהוָ֥ה מַצְלִֽיחַ׃
וְעַמֻּֽדֵיהֶם֙ אַרְבָּעָ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֥ם אַרְבָּעָ֖ה נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וָוֵיהֶ֣ם כֶּ֔סֶף וְצִפּ֧וּי רָאשֵׁיהֶ֛ם וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃
שְׂא֞וּ אֶת־ רֹ֣אשׁ ׀ כָּל־ עֲדַ֣ת בְּנֵי־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מִבֶּ֨ן עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָ֛ה וָמַ֖עְלָה לְבֵ֣ית אֲבֹתָ֑ם כָּל־ יֹצֵ֥א צָבָ֖א בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
יְהִ֤י פִסַּת־ בַּ֨ר ׀ בָּאָרֶץ֮ בְּרֹ֢אשׁ הָ֫רִ֥ים יִרְעַ֣שׁ כַּלְּבָנ֣וֹן פִּרְי֑וֹ וְיָצִ֥יצוּ מֵ֝עִ֗יר כְּעֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָֽרֶץ׃
כִּ֛י כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה מִקֵּ֞ץ אַרְבָּעִ֤ים שָׁנָה֙ אֲקַבֵּ֣ץ אֶת־ מִצְרַ֔יִם מִן־ הָעַמִּ֖ים אֲשֶׁר־ נָפֹ֥צוּ שָֽׁמָּה׃
וֽ͏ַיַּעֲשׂ֛וּ אֶת־ חַ֥ג הַסֻּכּ֖וֹת כַּכָּת֑וּב וְעֹלַ֨ת י֤וֹם בְּיוֹם֙ בְּמִסְפָּ֔ר כְּמִשְׁפַּ֖ט דְּבַר־ י֥וֹם בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃
וּבְנֵ֥י שְׁכַנְיָ֖ה שְׁמַעְיָ֑ה וּבְנֵ֣י שְׁמַעְיָ֗ה חַטּ֡וּשׁ וְ֠יִגְאָל וּבָרִ֧יחַ וּנְעַרְיָ֛ה וְשָׁפָ֖ט שִׁשָּֽׁה׃
וַיּ֤וֹאֶל הָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ לָשֶׁ֣בֶת בְּהַר־ חֶ֔רֶס בְּאַיָּל֖וֹן וּבְשַֽׁעַלְבִ֑ים וַתִּכְבַּד֙ יַ֣ד בֵּית־ יוֹסֵ֔ף וַיִּהְי֖וּ לָמַֽס׃
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה הָסִיר֙ הַמִּצְנֶ֔פֶת וְהָרִ֖ים הָֽעֲטָרָ֑ה זֹ֣את לֹא־ זֹ֔את הַשָּׁפָ֣לָה הַגְבֵּ֔הַ וְהַגָּבֹ֖הַ הַשְׁפִּֽיל׃
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר שמטהו שִׁמְט֖וּהָ וַֽיִּשְׁמְט֑וּהָ וַיִּ֨ז מִדָּמָ֧הּ אֶל־ הַקִּ֛יר וְאֶל־ הַסּוּסִ֖ים וַֽיִּרְמְסֶֽנָּה׃
וַיֵּ֨צְא֜וּ אַנְשֵׁ֤י הָעִיר֙ וַיִּלָּחֲמ֣וּ אֶת־ יוֹאָ֔ב וַיִּפֹּ֥ל מִן־ הָעָ֖ם מֵעַבְדֵ֣י דָוִ֑ד וַיָּ֕מָת גַּ֖ם אוּרִיָּ֥ה הַחִתִּֽי׃
And the Levites: both Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;
Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?
His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

shaM naH satyasya suyamasya shaMsaH shaM no aryamaa purujaato astu
yasya kratur vidathyo\ na samraaT saahvaan tarutro abhy asti kRSTiiH
yasyaavadhiit pitaraM yasya maataraM yasya shakro bhraataraM naata iiSate
suniitibhir nayasi traayase janaM yas tubhyaM daashaan na tam aMho ashnavat
kakSiivantaM stotaaraM yaabhir aavataM taabhir uu Su uutibhir ashvinaa gatam
ἄρατε οὖν ἀπʼ αὐτοῦ τὸ τάλαντον καὶ δότε τῷ ἔχοντι τὰ δέκα τάλαντα·
καὶ ἔσονται οἱ δύο εἰς σάρκα μίαν· ὥστε οὐκέτι εἰσὶν δύο ἀλλὰ μία σάρξ·
εἴπερ δίκαιον παρὰ θεῷ ἀνταποδοῦναι τοῖς θλίβουσιν ὑμᾶς θλῖψιν
Ὑμεῖς δέ ἐστε οἱ διαμεμενηκότες μετʼ ἐμοῦ ἐν τοῖς πειρασμοῖς μου·
οὐκ ἦν ἐκεῖνος τὸ φῶς, ἀλλʼ ἵνα μαρτυρήσῃ περὶ τοῦ φωτός.
وَإِلَى عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ
وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
