וְיִשְׂמְח֨וּ כָל־ ח֪וֹסֵי בָ֡ךְ לְעוֹלָ֣ם יְ֭רַנֵּנוּ וְתָסֵ֣ךְ עָלֵ֑ימוֹ וְֽיַעְלְצ֥וּ בְ֝ךָ֗ אֹהֲבֵ֥י שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
וְסָמַךְ֙ אֶת־ יָד֔וֹ עַ֖ל רֹ֣אשׁ הַֽחַטָּ֑את וְשָׁחַ֤ט אֹתָהּ֙ לְחַטָּ֔את בִּמְק֕וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִשְׁחַ֖ט אֶת־ הָעֹלָֽה׃
בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שְׁתַּ֔יִם לְפֶ֥קַח בֶּן־ רְמַלְיָ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מָלַ֛ךְ יוֹתָ֥ם בֶּן־ עֻזִיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃
לָ֤מָּה ׀ תְּֽרַצְּדוּן֮ הָרִ֢ים גַּבְנֻ֫נִּ֥ים הָהָ֗ר חָמַ֣ד אֱלֹהִ֣ים לְשִׁבְתּ֑וֹ אַף־ יְ֝הוָ֗ה יִשְׁכֹּ֥ן לָנֶֽצַח׃
וַיַּ֤עַן מֹשֶׁה֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר וְהֵן֙ לֹֽא־ יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ לִ֔י וְלֹ֥א יִשְׁמְע֖וּ בְּקֹלִ֑י כִּ֣י יֹֽאמְר֔וּ לֹֽא־ נִרְאָ֥ה אֵלֶ֖יךָ יְהוָֽה׃
דַּבֵּ֥ר אֶֽל־ אַהֲרֹ֖ן לֵאמֹ֑ר אִ֣ישׁ מִֽזַּרְעֲךָ֞ לְדֹרֹתָ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִהְיֶ֥ה בוֹ֙ מ֔וּם לֹ֣א יִקְרַ֔ב לְהַקְרִ֖יב לֶ֥חֶם אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֤ט אֽ͏ַחֲרָיו֙ אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵיל֖וֹן הַזְּבֽוּלֹנִ֑י וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֥ט אֶת־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עֶ֥שֶׂר שָׁנִֽים׃
וְכַרְמְךָ֙ לֹ֣א תְעוֹלֵ֔ל וּפֶ֥רֶט כַּרְמְךָ֖ לֹ֣א תְלַקֵּ֑ט לֶֽעָנִ֤י וְלַגֵּר֙ תַּעֲזֹ֣ב אֹתָ֔ם אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
וְשָׂנֵ֤אתִֽי אֲנִי֙ אֶת־ כָּל־ עֲמָלִ֔י שֶׁאֲנִ֥י עָמֵ֖ל תַּ֣חַת הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ שֶׁ֣אַנִּיחֶ֔נּוּ לָאָדָ֖ם שֶׁיִּהְיֶ֥ה אַחֲרָֽי׃
וַיְהִי֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶחָ֧ד מִצָּרְעָ֛ה מִמִּשְׁפַּ֥חַת הַדָּנִ֖י וּשְׁמ֣וֹ מָנ֑וֹחַ וְאִשְׁתּ֥וֹ עֲקָרָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א יָלָֽדָה׃
וַיֵּ֕לֶךְ בְּכָל־ חַטֹּ֥אות אָבִ֖יו אֲשֶׁר־ עָשָׂ֣ה לְפָנָ֑יו וְלֹא־ הָיָ֨ה לְבָב֤וֹ שָׁלֵם֙ עִם־ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֔יו כִּלְבַ֖ב דָּוִ֥ד אָבִֽיו׃
הַקָּהָ֕ל חֻקָּ֥ה אַחַ֛ת לָכֶ֖ם וְלַגֵּ֣ר הַגָּ֑ר חֻקַּ֤ת עוֹלָם֙ לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם כָּכֶ֛ם כַּגֵּ֥ר יִהְיֶ֖ה לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
וַיַּעַל֩ שְׁלֹמֹ֨ה שָׁ֜ם עַל־ מִזְבַּ֤ח הַנְּחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר לְאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיַּ֧עַל עָלָ֛יו עֹל֖וֹת אָֽלֶף׃
וַיַּעְפִּ֕לוּ לַעֲל֖וֹת אֶל־ רֹ֣אשׁ הָהָ֑ר וַאֲר֤וֹן בְּרִית־ יְהוָה֙ וּמֹשֶׁ֔ה לֹא־ מָ֖שׁוּ מִקֶּ֥רֶב הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃
לָכֵ֞ן אֱמֹ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה לֹא־ תִמָּשֵׁ֥ךְ ע֖וֹד כָּל־ דְּבָרָ֑י אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֲדַבֵּ֤ר דָּבָר֙ וְיֵ֣עָשֶׂ֔ה נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃
וַתֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ מֵֽאִתּ֔וֹ וַתִּסְגֹּ֣ר הַדֶּ֔לֶת בַּעֲדָ֖הּ וּבְעַ֣ד בָּנֶ֑יהָ הֵ֛ם מַגִּשִׁ֥ים אֵלֶ֖יהָ וְהִ֥יא מיצקת מוֹצָֽקֶת׃
אִ֤ישׁ מֵרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ הִשָּׁמֵ֔רוּ וְעַל־ כָּל־ אָ֖ח אַל־ תִּבְטָ֑חוּ כִּ֤י כָל־ אָח֙ עָק֣וֹב יַעְקֹ֔ב וְכָל־ רֵ֖עַ רָכִ֥יל יַהֲלֹֽךְ׃
And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy brother to wife.
And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

marutvato apratiitasya jiSNor ajuuryataH pra bravaamaa kRtaani
matsi soma varuNam matsi mitram matsiindram indo pavamaana viSNum
uurjo napaad abhiSTaye paahi shagdhi svastaya utaidhi pRtsu no vRdhe
arvaak patha urujrayaH kRNudhvaM shrotaa duutasya jagmuSo no asya
uurdhvo vaam agnir adhvareSv asthaat pra raatir eti juurNinii ghRtaacii
ghoSaayai cit pitRSade duroNe patiM juuryantyaa ashvinaav adattam
ratheSThena haryashvena vicyutaaH pra jiirayaH sisrate sadhrya\k pRthak
ashvyasya tmanaa rathyasya puSTer nityasya raayaH patayaH syaama
τοῦτο δὲ ἔλεγεν πειράζων αὐτόν, αὐτὸς γὰρ ᾔδει τί ἔμελλεν ποιεῖν.
οὐδέπω γὰρ ᾔδεισαν τὴν γραφὴν ὅτι δεῖ αὐτὸν ἐκ νεκρῶν ἀναστῆναι.
فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِ وَإِنَّا لَهُ كَاتِبُونَ
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا
وَرَأَى الْمُجْرِمُونَ النَّارَ فَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ مُوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا عَنْهَا مَصْرِفًا
وَاسْأَلِ الْقَرْيَةَ الَّتِي كُنَّا فِيهَا وَالْعِيرَ الَّتِي أَقْبَلْنَا فِيهَا وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُو مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنْ كِتَابٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ إِذًا لَارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ
لَا تَرْكُضُوا وَارْجِعُوا إِلَى مَا أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَاكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ
هُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ فَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
