כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֑ה וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ אֶת־ הֲמ֣וֹן מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּיַ֖ד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶלֶךְ־ בָּבֶֽל׃
לָכֵ֗ן יְיֵלִ֥יל מוֹאָ֛ב לְמוֹאָ֖ב כֻּלֹּ֣ה יְיֵלִ֑יל לַאֲשִׁישֵׁ֧י קִיר־ חֲרֶ֛שֶׂת תֶּהְגּ֖וּ אַךְ־ נְכָאִֽים׃
וְלָקַ֞ח אֶלְעָזָ֧ר הַכֹּהֵ֛ן מִדָּמָ֖הּ בְּאֶצְבָּע֑וֹ וְהִזָּ֞ה אֶל־ נֹ֨כַח פְּנֵ֧י אֹֽהֶל־ מוֹעֵ֛ד מִדָּמָ֖הּ שֶׁ֥בַע פְּעָמִֽים׃
וַיֵּ֥רֶד אָבִ֖יהוּ אֶל־ הָאִשָּׁ֑ה וַיַּ֨עַשׂ שָׁ֤ם שִׁמְשׁוֹן֙ מִשְׁתֶּ֔ה כִּ֛י כֵּ֥ן יַעֲשׂ֖וּ הַבַּחוּרִֽים׃
וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ לֹ֥א עֲשַׁקְתָּ֖נוּ וְלֹ֣א רַצּוֹתָ֑נוּ וְלֹֽא־ לָקַ֥חְתָּ מִיַּד־ אִ֖ישׁ מְאֽוּמָה׃
וְהָֽאֹכֵל֙ מִנִּבְלָתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֣א עַד־ הָעָ֑רֶב וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙ אֶת־ נִבְלָתָ֔הּ יְכַבֵּ֥ס בְּגָדָ֖יו וְטָמֵ֥א עַד־ הָעָֽרֶב׃
וַיִּקַּ֗ח יִתְרוֹ֙ חֹתֵ֣ן מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶת־ צִפֹּרָ֖ה אֵ֣שֶׁת מֹשֶׁ֑ה אַחַ֖ר שִׁלּוּחֶֽיהָ׃
ΠΡΙΝΚΕ ΚΛΕΜΕΝΣ ΩΕΝΖΕΛ ΝΕΠΟΜΥΚ ΛΟΘΑΡ ΒΟΝ ΜΕΤΤΕΡΝΙΧ

tvam agne tvaSTaa vidhate suviiryaM tava gnaavo mitramahaH sajaatya\m \.\
aryamaa mitro varuNaH saraatayo yaM traayante sajoSasaH
ny u\ priyo manuSaH saadi hotaa naasatyaa yo yajate vandate ca
dyaavaapRthivii varuNaaya savrate ghRtavat payo mahiSaaya pinvataH
sa iiM satyebhiH sakhibhiH shucadbhir godhaayasaM vi dhanasair adardaH
evaagniM sahasya\M vasiSTho raayaskaamo vishvapsnyasya staut
agnir atrim bharadvaajaM gaviSThiram praavan naH kaNvaM trasadasyum aahave
kathaa shardhaaya marutaam Rtaaya kathaa suure bRhate pRchyamaanaH

ὃ οὖν ὁ θεὸς συνέζευξεν ἄνθρωπος μὴ χωριζέτω.
ὄψιμον ὀψιτέλεστον, ὅου κλέος οὔ ποτʼ ὀλεῖται.
ἔγχεος, οὐδʼ ἔβαλʼ αὐτόν· ὃ δʼ ὕστερος ὄρνυτο χαλκῷ
τὸν ἄρτον ἡμῶν τὸν ἐπιούσιον δὸς ἡμῖν σήμερον·
τοῖς οὐκ ἐρχομένοις ὃ γέρων ἐκρίνατʼ ὀνείρους,
τὸν δʼ ἐπιμειδήσας προσέφη πολύμητις Ὀδυσσεύς·
οὓς ἐπὶ Πατρόκλῳ πέφνεν πόδας ὠκὺς Ἀχιλλεύς·
ἔγχεος, οὐδʼ ἔβαλʼ αὐτόν· ὃ δʼ ὕστερος ὄρνυτο χαλκῷ
οὔτε ποσὶν θάσσων οὔτʼ ἄλκιμος ὡς σὺ μάχεσθαι·
ἤματι τῷ προτέρῳ, ὅτε μαίνετο φαίδιμος Ἕκτωρ·
ἔνθʼ οὔ τις πρότερος Δαναῶν πολλῶν περ ἐόντων
Φοίνικι στορέσαι πυκινὸν λέχος, ὄφρα τάχιστα
γνωτὸν ἐμὸν τὸν ἔπεφνες, ἐπευχόμενος δʼ ἀγορεύεις,
πάντες δʼ ὑλοτόμοι φιτροὺς φέρον· ὡς γὰρ ἀνώγει
فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ
