הָשַׁ֣ע מִמֶּ֣נִּי וְאַבְלִ֑יגָה בְּטֶ֖רֶם אֵלֵ֣ךְ וְאֵינֶֽנִּי׃

לָכֵ֗ן הִנֵּ֤ה אָֽנֹכִי֙ מְפַתֶּ֔יהָ וְהֹֽלַכְתִּ֖יהָ הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְדִבַּרְתִּ֖י עַל לִבָּֽהּ׃

אִם־ זְכַרְתִּ֥יךָ עַל־ יְצוּעָ֑י בְּ֝אַשְׁמֻר֗וֹת אֶהְגֶּה־ בָּֽךְ׃

הַֽדּוּדָאִ֣ים נָֽתְנוּ־ רֵ֗יחַ וְעַל־ פְּתָחֵ֙ינוּ֙ כָּל־ מְגָדִ֔ים חֲדָשִׁ֖ים גַּם־ יְשָׁנִ֑ים דּוֹדִ֖י צָפַ֥נְתִּי לָֽךְ׃

Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?

ubhe yathaa no ahanii sacaabhuvaa sadaH-sado varivasyaata udbhidaa

That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?

धृष्टकेतुश्चेकितानः काशिराजश्च वीर्यवान् । पुरुजित्कुन्तिभोजश्च शैब्यश्च नरपुङ्गवः

They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
