וְהַנְּתִינִ֖ים יֹשְׁבִ֣ים בָּעֹ֑פֶל וְצִיחָ֥א וְגִשְׁפָּ֖א עַל־ הַנְּתִינִֽים׃

הַֽלְל֣וּ אֶת־ יְ֭הוָה כָּל־ גּוֹיִ֑ם שַׁ֝בְּח֗וּהוּ כָּל־ הָאֻמִּֽים׃

מֵסִ֗יר לֵ֭ב רָאשֵׁ֣י עַם־ הָאָ֑רֶץ וַ֝יַּתְעֵ֗ם בְּתֹ֣הוּ לֹא־ דָֽרֶךְ׃

And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

yo jaatam asya mahato mahi bravat sed u shravobhir yujyaM cid abhy a\sat

tvaaM suparNa aabharad divas pariindo vishvaabhir matibhiH pariSkRtam

And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men’s counsel that they gave him;

يَا قَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا الْأَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ

τότε ἐξεπορεύετο πρὸς αὐτὸν Ἱεροσόλυμα καὶ πᾶσα ἡ Ἰουδαία καὶ πᾶσα ἡ περίχωρος τοῦ Ἰορδάνου,

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
