אַ֭ף כִּֽי־ נִתְעָ֥ב וְֽנֶאֱלָ֑ח אִישׁ־ שֹׁתֶ֖ה כַמַּ֣יִם עַוְלָֽה׃

שלש אמות אמ"ש, מ' דוממת, ש' שורקת, א' חק מכריע בנתיים:

מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָ֭אָרֶץ שִׁ֣ירוּ לֵאלֹהִ֑ים זַמְּר֖וּ אֲדֹנָ֣י סֶֽלָה׃

dhartaa divaH pavate kRtvyo raso dakSo devaanaam anumaadyo nRbhiH

Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:

kavir giirbhiH kaavyenaa kaviH san somaH pavitram aty eti rebhan

And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

mahiSaaso maayinash citrabhaanavo girayo na svatavaso raghuSyadaH

indrasya vajra aayaso nimishla indrasya baahvor bhuuyiSTham ojaH

There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ

فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ بِسِحْرٍ مِثْلِهِ فَاجْعَلْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَا نُخْلِفُهُ نَحْنُ وَلَا أَنْتَ مَكَانًا سُوًى

Οὐκ ἔστιν μαθητὴς ὑπὲρ τὸν διδάσκαλον οὐδὲ δοῦλος ὑπὲρ τὸν κύριον αὐτοῦ.

Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

yuvaM tam indraaparvataa puroyudhaa yo naH pRtanyaad apa taM-tam id dhataM vajreNa taM-tam id dhatam

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
