זָנַ֥ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל ט֑וֹב אוֹיֵ֖ב יִרְדְּֽפוֹ׃

יִרְאָ֣ה וָ֭רַעַד יָ֣בֹא בִ֑י וַ֝תְּכַסֵּ֗נִי פַּלָּצֽוּת׃

הַֽמְכַסֶּ֬ה שָׁמַ֨יִם ׀ בְּעָבִ֗ים הַמֵּכִ֣ין לָאָ֣רֶץ מָטָ֑ר הַמַּצְמִ֖יחַ הָרִ֣ים חָצִֽיר׃

שְׁנֵ֥י הַמַּטּ֖וֹת וַחֲצִ֣י הַמַּטֶּ֑ה לָקְח֣וּ נַחֲלָתָ֗ם מֵעֵ֛בֶר לְיַרְדֵּ֥ן יְרֵח֖וֹ קֵ֥דְמָה מִזְרָֽחָה׃

And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

عَسَى رَبُّنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا رَاغِبُونَ

na tvad dhotaa puurvo agne yajiiyaan na kaavyaiH paro asti svadhaavaH

καὶ ἐγένετο φόβος μέγας ἐφʼ ὅλην τὴν ἐκκλησίαν καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀκούοντας ταῦτα.

sadhriiciinaa niyuto daavane dhiya upa bruvata iiM dhiyaH

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

aa vRtrahaNaa vRtrahabhiH shuSmair indra yaataM namobhir agne arvaak

yuyopa naabhir uparasyaayoH pra puurvaabhis tirate raaSTi shuuraH

arejetaaM rodasii hotRvuurye .asaghnor bhaaram ayajo maho vaso

And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.

aSTaa maho diva aado harii iha dyumnaasaaham abhi yodhaana utsam

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
