אַ֣ךְ אֶל־ אֱ֭לֹהִים דּֽוּמִיָּ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י מִ֝מֶּ֗נּוּ יְשׁוּעָתִֽי׃

וַיְהִ֥י מִבְחַר־ עֲמָקַ֖יִךְ מָ֣לְאוּ רָ֑כֶב וְהַפָּ֣רָשִׁ֔ים שֹׁ֖ת שָׁ֥תוּ הַשָּֽׁעְרָה׃

פְּרָעֵ֥הוּ אַל־ תַּעֲבָר־ בּ֑וֹ שְׂטֵ֖ה מֵעָלָ֣יו וַעֲבֽוֹר׃

וּגְבוּל֙ הָאֱמֹרִ֔י מִֽמַּעֲלֵ֖ה עַקְרַבִּ֑ים מֵהַסֶּ֖לַע וָמָֽעְלָה׃

כִּ֤י ׀ לֹא־ יִטֹּ֣שׁ יְהוָ֣ה עַמּ֑וֹ וְ֝נַחֲלָת֗וֹ לֹ֣א יַעֲזֹֽב׃

בְּחַצְר֤וֹת ׀ בֵּ֤ית יְהוָ֗ה בְּֽת֘וֹכֵ֤כִי יְֽרוּשָׁלִָ֗ם הַֽלְלוּ־ יָֽהּ׃

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army,

uta na iiM tvaSTaa gantv achaa smat suuribhir abhipitve sajoSaaH

Then the priest shall command that they wash the thing wherein the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days more:

Μὴ νομίσητε ὅτι ἦλθον βαλεῖν εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν· οὐκ ἦλθον βαλεῖν εἰρήνην ἀλλὰ μάχαιραν.

Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

And Ahithophel was the king’s counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king’s companion:

Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.

Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

ava sRja punar agne pitRbhyo yas ta aahutash carati svadhaabhiH

وَأُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِهِ لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِئْسَ الرِّفْدُ الْمَرْفُودُ

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

hastaabhyaaM dashashaakhaabhyaaM jihvaa vaacaH purogavii

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا مَا قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
