וַיִּהְי֖וּ פְּקֻדֵיהֶ֑ם שְׁמֹנַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֔ים וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וּשְׁמֹנִֽים׃

כִּ֣י כָל־ מִשְׁפָּטָ֣יו לְנֶגְדִּ֑י וְ֝חֻקֹּתָ֗יו לֹא־ אָסִ֥יר מֶֽנִּי׃

תְּשִׁיבֵ֣נוּ אָ֭חוֹר מִנִּי־ צָ֑ר וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֵ֗ינוּ שָׁ֣סוּ לָֽמוֹ׃

וְֽ֭אָמַרְתָּ מַה־ יָּ֣דַֽע אֵ֑ל הַבְעַ֖ד עֲרָפֶ֣ל יִשְׁפּֽוֹט׃

כִּֽי־ שִׁ֭בַּר דַּלְת֣וֹת נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וּבְרִיחֵ֖י בַרְזֶ֣ל גִּדֵּֽעַ׃

פֶּֽן־ יִשְׂבְּע֣וּ זָרִ֣ים כֹּחֶ֑ךָ וַ֝עֲצָבֶ֗יךָ בְּבֵ֣ית נָכְרֽ͏ִי׃

The twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

kaM svid garbham prathamaM dadhra aapo yatra devaaH samapashyanta vishve

shaM no aja ekapaad devo astu shaM no .ahir budhnya\H shaM samudraH

O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

sudiitayo vo adruho .api karNe tarasvinaH sam RkvabhiH

sa tvaM no maghavann indra girvaNo veno na shRNudhii havam

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

urukramaH kakuho yasya puurviir na mardhanti yuvatayo janitriiH

Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

καὶ πρωτοκαθεδρίας ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς καὶ πρωτοκλισίας ἐν τοῖς δείπνοις,

καὶ ἐν ἑτοίμῳ ἔχοντες ἐκδικῆσαι πᾶσαν παρακοήν, ὅταν πληρωθῇ ὑμῶν ἡ ὑπακοή.

And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.

Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

yuvaM rathena vimadaaya shundhyuvaM ny uuaa\hathuH purumitrasya yoSaNaam
