וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תֵּשֵׁ֑ב וְ֝זִכְרְךָ֗ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃

יְהוָ֥ה הוֹשִׁ֑יעָה הַ֝מֶּ֗לֶךְ יַעֲנֵ֥נוּ בְיוֹם־ קָרְאֵֽנוּ׃

שַׂר־ חֲמִשִּׁ֖ים וּנְשׂ֣וּא פָנִ֑ים וְיוֹעֵ֛ץ וַחֲכַ֥ם חֲרָשִׁ֖ים וּנְב֥וֹן לָֽחַשׁ׃

וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ אֶת־ שִׁבְרָ֖ם עַל־ חֲמֹרֵיהֶ֑ם וַיֵּלְכ֖וּ מִשָּֽׁם׃

תֵּ֣חַת גְּעָרָ֣ה בְמֵבִ֑ין מֵהַכּ֖וֹת כְּסִ֣יל מֵאָֽה׃

נְשֵׁ֤י עַמִּי֙ תְּגָ֣רְשׁ֔וּן מִבֵּ֖ית תַּֽעֲנֻגֶ֑יהָ מֵעַל֙ עֹֽלָלֶ֔יהָ תִּקְח֥וּ הֲדָרִ֖י לְעוֹלָֽם׃

כִּֽי־ הָי֥וּ בְצֹ֖עַן שָׂרָ֑יו וּמַלְאָכָ֖יו חָנֵ֥ס יַגִּֽיעוּ׃

aad vaam bravaama satyaany ukthaa nakir devebhir yatatho mahitvaa

avatsaarasya spRNavaama raNvabhiH shaviSThaM vaajaM viduSaa cid ardhyam

Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD.

yo dhartaa bhuvanaanaaM ya usraaNaam apiicyaaaa\ veda naamaani guhyaa

ῥήγνυτο· ταὶ δʼ ὅτε δὴ Τροίην ἐρίβωλον ἵκοντο

And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

taM tvaa shociSTha diidivaH sumnaaya nuunam iimahe sakhibhyaH

الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.

Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.

And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.

ratha iva bRhatii vibhvane kRtopastutyaa cikituSaa sarasvatii

यत्तु कामेप्सुना कर्म साहङ्कारेण वा पुनः । क्रियते बहुलायासं तद्राजसमुदाहृतम्

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.
