וְגֹ֥שֶׁן וְחֹלֹ֖ן וְגִלֹ֑ה עָרִ֥ים אַֽחַת־ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן׃

וַיַּ֖עַשׂ מֹשֶׁ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֧ה יְהוָ֛ה אֹת֖וֹ כֵּ֥ן עָשָֽׂה׃

כֹּ֚ל יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאִיִּ֔ים שָׁמְמ֖וּ עָלָ֑יִךְ וּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙ שָׂ֣עֲרוּ שַׂ֔עַר רָעֲמ֖וּ פָּנִֽים׃

שְׁמַ֣ע בְּ֭נִי וְקַ֣ח אֲמָרָ֑י וְיִרְבּ֥וּ לְ֝ךָ֗ שְׁנ֣וֹת חַיִּֽים׃

ud vRha rakSaH sahamuulam indra vRshcaa madhyam praty agraM shRNiihi

Συνεπορεύοντο δὲ αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοί, καὶ στραφεὶς εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς·

Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

shriye sudRshiir uparasya yaaH sva\r virocamaanaH kakubhaam acodate

aapRchyaM dharuNaM vaajy a\rSati nRbhir dhuuto vicakSaNaH

Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.

وَلَقَدْ صَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنَّهُ فَاتَّبَعُوهُ إِلَّا فَرِيقًا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

adveSo viSNur vaata RbhukSaa achaa sumnaaya vavRtiiya devaan

samraajaa ugraa vRSabhaa divas patii pRthivyaa mitraavaruNaa vicarSaNii

tam iiLiSva ya aahuto .agnir vibhraajate ghRtaiH

nikhaataM cid yaH purusambhRtaM vasuud id vapati daashuSe

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,

akrann uSaaso vayunaani puurvathaa rushantam bhaanum aruSiir ashishrayuH

Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
