זַרְעָ֤ם נָכ֣וֹן לִפְנֵיהֶ֣ם עִמָּ֑ם וְ֝צֶאֱצָאֵיהֶ֗ם לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

אַשְׁפָּת֖וֹ כְּקֶ֣בֶר פָּת֑וּחַ כֻּלָּ֖ם גִּבּוֹרִֽים׃

עֲנֵ֣ה כְ֭סִיל כְּאִוַּלְתּ֑וֹ פֶּן־ יִהְיֶ֖ה חָכָ֣ם בְּעֵינָֽיו׃

I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:

As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

samaanaM niiLaM vRSaNo vasaanaaH saM jagmire mahiSaa arvatiibhiH

When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.

ugro yayiM nir apaH srotasaasRjad vi shuSNasya dRMhitaa airayat puraH

وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُضِلٍّ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيزٍ ذِي انْتِقَامٍ

tavaayam bhaaga aayuSu somo deveSu huuyate

havanta u tvaa havyaM vivaaci tanuuSu shuuraaH suuryasya saatau

Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
