וּבְנֵ֖י יִשָׂשכָ֑ר תּוֹלָ֥ע וּפֻוָּ֖ה וְי֥וֹב וְשִׁמְרֽוֹן׃

indraaviSNuu pibatam madhvo asya somasya dasraa jaTharam pRNethaam

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

pra gaayataabhy a\rcaama devaan somaM hinota mahate dhanaaya

He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

And they continued three years without war between Syria and Israel.

وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ

saasmaakebhir etarii na shuuSair agni STave dama aa jaatavedaaH

tvam indra svayashaa RbhukSaa vaajo na saadhur astam eSy Rkvaa

apo deviir upa hvaye yatra gaavaH pibanti naH

Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.

καὶ ἐλθοῦσα μία χήρα πτωχὴ ἔβαλεν λεπτὰ δύο, ὅ ἐστιν κοδράντης.

dhruvaM dhruveNa haviSaabhi somam mRshaamasi

somaaH pavanta indavo .asmabhyaM gaatuvittamaaH

For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.

sthiraa dhanvaany aayudhaa ratheSu vo .aniikeSv adhi shriyaH

indraaya vRSNe sumakhaaya mahyaM sakhye sakhaayas tanve\ tanuubhiH

Rtasya vo rathya\H puutadakSaan Rtasya pastyasado adabdhaan

tirash cid aryaH savanaa vaso gahi shaviSTha shrudhi me havam

ὁ δὲ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ἐγώ εἰμι, μὴ φοβεῖσθε.
